Sport Pilot License (SPL) Program
-
The Sport Pilot License Program is a 3-month accelerated program that is designed for individuals who want to fly for recreation, freedom, and personal achievement — without the complexity of airline training.
Success in this program requires consistency, commitment, and active participation from the student.
Perfect for:
• First-time pilots
• Busy professionals
• Entrepreneurs
• Parents
• Anyone who has always dreamed of flying
No prior experience required.
-
To qualify for the SPL program, you must:
• Be at least 17 years old
• Read, speak, write, and understand English
• Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license (used as your medical)
• Pass the FAA written knowledge test
• Pass a practical flight test (checkride)
No college degree required.
No FAA medical exam required.
-
Successful completion of the SPL program requires the students full commitment to accomplish the 3-month program.
Your timeline depends on:
• Training frequency
• Weather
• Personal availability
Students who train 2–3 times per week often finish faster.
Students are expected to:
Train 2-3 times per week consistently
Arrive prepared for each lesson
Complete self-study and preparation on personal time including:
Reviewing lesson materials
Studying FAA knowledge content
Chair-flying and scenario practice
Flight hours alone are not sufficient for success. Progress depends heavily on preparation outside of scheduled training.

The 3-Month Accelerated Sport Pilot License Program does not guarantee the issuance of a Sport Pilot Certificate. Completion of the program depends on the student’s commitment, preparation, and performance. Students are solely responsible for passing the FAA oral and flight checkride required to obtain their certificate. Adventures in the Sky Aviation provides training, instruction, and resources, but we do not issue or guarantee any certificate or license. Success in the program is the responsibility of each student.
